Scouting Report

A two-way defenseman often cast in a defensive defender's role. Primarily defaults to defending by skating in front of the puck-carrier and attempting to block their shot. Will strategically "flail" when a defender attempts to stick-handle through his feet. Prefers to stretch pass down the ice rather than move it laterally, though will use around passes to the other defender frequently, provided he's paired with a partner he can trust. Plays a conservative game, though has more talent than he tends to display. Strong hand-eye coordination and a deceptively good pass-receiver, though infrequently targeted and is often given the easier to catch "board passes". Not the most active 1-on-1 defender, doesn't swing for takeaways and will rely on blocks and forcing skaters into a back-checker.
