Scouting Report

An up and down center with a powerful shot and lethal defensive stick. An all around player who is a threat from anywhere in the offensive zone. Willing to shoot from all angles at a speed that is among the best of the best. A strong forechecker and backchecker, he catches puck carriers with a great ability to maintain his momentum. A good passer, who doesn't use it as much as most others, as he will opt to shoot if the wide open target isn't there. Avoids turnovers without the need to dump pucks away, in part due to the willingness to take shots. Shot selection isn't perfect, and accuracy is sacrificed for raw power, making his shot dangerous but inconsistent. Not a particularly creative playmaker, plays a fairly straightforward passing game. The creativity comes in getting shots off from near-impossible angles and coming out of spins. Struggles when asked to do too much heavily lifting offensively, with an unimpressive stickhandling skillset for a high-end player. Inconsistent as a pass receiver for having such great hand-eye coordination. A great 1A-1B forward, fitting a role fairly few players can.
